Russian Romani
The male styles of many Romani dances are highly athletic and percussive. Amy Luna dances the Russian male style, known for its whirlwind spins, syncopated body hits and footwork executed at breakneck speeds. Drawing on the tradition of Russian Character dancing, the performers act out specific situations in "character" using pantomime and comedy to enhance the dance presentation.

Spoon Dance - Often too poor to afford instruments, Roma have devised ingenious ways to make music with everyday objects. In this dance, some wooden spoons are enough to create the rhythms needed for the dance.
