Lunatique

Founded in 1996, Lunatique performs several styles of Bellydance including Folkloric, Tribal, Orientale and Romani. The company's contribution to the early development of Americal Tribal Style Bellydance is featured in the book The Tribal Bible (Kajira Djoumahna, ed.) In 2005, Lunatique represented the United States in the Beijing International Cultural Festival. The company was also named Belly Dance Troupe of the Year 2007.

Shuvani

Founded in 2003, Shuvani celebrates the rich heritage of the authentic arts of the Romani "Gypsy" Trail. A Shuvani is the "wise woman" of a Romani community. In 2005, Shuvani made history as the first Romani Trail dance ensemble to appear in 27 years of the prestigious San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival. Shuvani has performed Romani dances for over 14,000 Bay Area school children in the cast of World Arts West's educational production People Like Me. The company's performances have also been included in the Romani Archives at the University of Texas at Austin.
